and 101 Myths of the Bible. It also contains articles
of mine that have been published in scholarly journals and papers
that I have presented at academic conferences. You will also find
links to several sites related to the study of the ancient Near East,
including the Biblical Archaeology Society of New York,
for which I serves as President.

The
Biblical Archaeology Society of New York
The
Biblical Archaeology Society of New York is an educational
organization that provides monthly lectures by local experts on the
ancient Near East. Many of the lecturers are either professors in the
field or work in the Egyptian or Near Eastern departments of local
museums. The meetings are held in a restaurant, where attendees have
the option of having dinner with other attendees prior to the
lecture. The site contains information on the lecture schedule,
costs, membership and other matters. I currently serve as president
of the group.

The
American Wasteland
This site features a prototype for my experimental political humor
magazine called The American Wasteland. The current
issue is the only issue published so far and will probably be the
last issue. Still, I think you'll find a few laughs there. Other
e-magazines are planned as a replacement.
