Jerome Tucille is the author of 21 books, including the highly acclaimed biographies: Trump; Rupert Murdock; and Kingdom: The Story of the Hunts of Texas. He is the author of two well-received books about Ayn Rand, It Usually Begins with Ayn Rand and It Still Begins with Ayn Rand.  Tuccille has also written three previous novels: Wall Street Blues, The Mission, and Dominick's Van Gogh and many financial books. He is a financial writer and supervisory analyst with a major financial firm, and he has worked in the investment area for twenty-five years.

From 1971 to 1973, the author taught at the New School for Social Research in New York City, and in 1974 he was the Libertarian candidate for Governor of New York. Tuccille has been married for thirty-five years to his wife Marie, and together they have two children: J.D. Tuccille, a writer and editor; and Christine Tuccille Merry, an artist, writer, and editor.
